Optimistically Approaching the Abyss, Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer: by Dr. Janet Sollod
- May 29th update to this article originally published October 2016. Dr. Janet Sollod passed away May 27th at the age of 42.
Today (Oct 14th) is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day. This past Sunday, my friend, and fellow pediatrician Janet Sollod M.D. joined our faculty for Exponential Medicine and eloquently shared her journey... diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in her early 30s and after multiple rounds of therapies and recurrences, endeavoring to live life to the fullest.
"Life is terminal. What we can do is live well while we're dying."
Please watch and share her powerful and moving talk... how Janet is facing her own mortality, and how we as a society might reevaluate how we look at death.
I just learn of your passing from your dad. Janet was an amazing person. We'll miss you
