LIVING A LIFE OF SERVICE

As much as I would not advise you to break yourself because you wanted to be there for everyone, I want you to know that one of the realities of living a fulfilled life is living a life of service to others.??
However, one of the ironies of living a life of service is that you may never be recognized for your efforts.??
Most times, I have come to realize that those who serve genuinely are recognized only after they've gone.??
People like pretense. Humans glory in lies. We are so blinded in falsehood that we fail to recognize those that are real.
Do you think I'm lying? Check how much we celebrate people who died serving the world, why were they never given the recognition they deserved when they were alive???
As much as I would have wanted us to celebrate these people, I still do not blame you for not recognizing them because they were never like the rest of us. In the spiritual, they are referred to as those who hold the threads of this life together. They protect the world from collapsing.
These people live a quiet and simple life. You will never see them fighting for recognition. They will never plot evil against anyone. All they long for is peace for all. However, as much as they just want to live and let's live, you will still see people fighting or being jealous of them for no reason. The truth is, they cannot help but shine because they are light. How can you stop light from shining, how? You can try to quench the light, but it will still shine because the light they carry was not bought or earned, they came into this world with their light.
Funny enough, they are rare to find and most times, we don't see them for who they are until they are gone.

I ??Aderonke Adeyemi -Ayeni have chosen to shine even if the light is so dim that you could barely see it. I shine regardless and A city set on a hill can never be hidden.
Happy sunday??

1 年Thanks so much ??Aderonke Adeyemi -Ayeni you really hit the point very hard. Nothing as good as self encouragement in this life of selfless service and ingratitude of the society. One thing has been my anchor that is the word of God Hebrews 6:10-12 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. [11] And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: [12] That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Last week, I called a woman to follow up the case, she asked what is my interest in the case? I told her "Justice is my interest". She did not know the agony the mother of the wrongful incarcerated is going through but I know it. When you are doing service to others and nobody seems to acknowledge your effort even the beneficiaries God is watching and he will surely reward you
