I’ve been thinking a lot about intention lately. 

With our stay-at-home order still in effect in Maryland, I have had a lot of time for reflection. Reflection about what is important in my life, what I want to do in my business, how I want to spend my days.

For years, I had a note on my bathroom mirror. It reminded me every day to think about what my intention was. 

What is your intention/choice for today?

Originally I wrote that note when I was in a difficult place in my life. I needed a reminder each morning that I had a choice. A choice with how to approach each day. A choice to choose who I wanted to be. A choice to be my best self.

And, I remember saying to myself, I choose to be xxx today. 

The circumstances in my life changed since then. The note remained. It’s still a good reminder that it’s always my choice as to what happens with my day and my life.
