It gives me great pleasure to present to you for my?next interview Lesley from Your Scottish Wedding!

Lesley says: "I came into this industry by chance when I applied as a hotel receptionist at our local hotel - The Pation Hotel. I was there for 3.5 years and laterly I was doing showrounds for weddings, which is where I got the bug.?

I moved from here to the Beardmore Hotel as an events executive organising conferences, weddings, funerals and all private parties but my passion was with the wedding couples. I totally loved hearing about their stories – how they met and their journey after being here for about 7 years leaving as assistant events manager I moved to Mar Hall and did their opening as Events Manager.?

From there I thought I wanted a career move so I went onto Banking for a very short stint and then I heard that the Scottish Wedding Directory was looking for a sales rep so I applied and got the job and was there for over 16 years and last year it sadly closed after 25 successful years due to the impact of Covid.?

I had a small meltdown as I’d been in this industry for nearly 30 years and didn’t really know any other trade, this is when my husband and friends all said open up on your own, so I slept on it and then here we are!?

Your Scottish Wedding launched on the 23rd April but already we’re getting amazing traction through our social media channels as well as the website itself with having reached over 17,000 unique visitors in such a short space of time! We’re only going to go from strength to strength!"??
