Live and work diligently in hope and you can succeed. Just do it.

On the 29th of March I was forced by the corona virus to come to Japan two weeks earlier than planned. I didn't get the corona virus thank god, but I did contract PMR just a few days before the crisis hit Europe, which I would not wish on my worst enemy. My whole world fell apart, seriously ill and prevented from working by the illness and the crisis lockdown.

Thanks to the wonderful care of my lovely wife and the brilliant treatment of a Japanese doctor I started to recover my health. Then I had to get stuck back into trying to get work on line. For over two months I stuck at it 12 hours a day, I never let my head go down not once (though I think my long suffering wife might have got a little despondent once or twice).

I revamped my Linkedin profile, which generated a lot of views of my cv, I started to grow my Linkedin connections and met some great new friends. I wrote lots of Linkedin posts and articles and I started to get my other articles and stories published on Medium.

I have also started to write a short story (Bad Moon Rising) which is being published by daily instalments (just like Charles Dickens did back in the day) on Medium.

The stats for my short articles on Medium were not good, just lines of zeros. So I revamped all the articles, fine tuning the text and the photos. The stats are now looking a lot better, though there is still a long way to go.

I also started to create my own website and blog (still needs a little work on it before it is unleashed on the unwitting public).

Next week I have got a positive sounding scheduled contact with a potential client in the Education field. At last I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am now back to full health, eating and sleeping well and getting lots of exercise.

I want this post to give hope to others who have found themselves in a difficult situation not of their own making. There is a way out. Just stick at it, never ever give up. I feel like I am coming back from the dead. And if I can do it anyone can. Just do it.
