Live Well and Make a Difference

Live Well and Make a Difference

Live life as well as you can, and strive to serve others. Think of others, and try not to be consumed by selfishness. As often as you can, serve others in their time of need; for as long as you can, whenever there is an opportunity. Realize that in and of yourself you cannot do this, but only when you call upon God. He will answer your prayer and pour out his spirit and love into your heart; then you can serve others freely. God will give you patience, love and compassion as you serve others. Treat them with justice and fairness as you walk alongside them. This is honorable and kind. Your relationship with God will grow. Then when the time arrives, at the end of your life, you would have built treasures in heaven that are not seen in this world. Because with your life you have also served God and glorified His name.

You see, the ultimate-purpose of life is not to be happy, not to have everything you want but that your life make a difference in the life of others. Why? Your life is not your own. If you truly believe in God, then you will understand that your life was made for God’s purposes. Your life was made to glorify the Creator of heaven and earth, the one whom left heaven to come in the form of a man, Jesus Christ, who laid down his life for you, and me. Christ was nailed to the cross at Calvary, and shed His blood for the forgiveness of our sin. To give mankind hope and a future. If you are a child of God, then you also at one time were in need of God’s help. Remember, Christ came to serve you, and me. He came to die for you and me. Christ gave his all in life and in death. Christ was not selfish, but he thought of others first, and above all of his own needs. From the cross, at his crucifixion he was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, and by His strips we are healed. From the cross He shouted “Father forgive them.” He was not selfish even unto death. So live your life well, but make a difference while you still can. Then give God all the glory and honor. He alone is worthy of all praise. Soli Deo Gloria.
