Live Samsidh Values: Achievements and Appreciation

I have been working with Samsidh Mount Litera Zee School for over 8 months. It is time to look back and reflect on this journey.

The Chairman, Mr. Vasa Srinivasa Rao, is a great source of inspiration and strength to all at Samsidh. I feel honored to have had the opportunity of contributing to Samsidh’s growth through experiential workshops for training and upskilling of teachers and heads.

 The year was full of achievements and progressive work. The positive feedbacks from all at Samsidh who participated in the workshops have endorsed me with confidence.

 Values and Culture

The first workshop of the academic year took place on October 19th, 2019. My aim was to guide the participants through a discussion on values and culture. The session introduced them to bring about attitudinal and behavioral changes through the integration of values, which affects the community and culture of a place.

The participants also underwent the task to create a Concept Tree for teachers to follow. The mind map is an easy guideline to become a ‘Star Teacher’, who integrates Live Samsidh Values in her classroom activities and in school activities throughout the year.

The workshop was successful in conveying that the comprehensive development of the learners through the skills of the teachers benefits the culture of any place macro cosmically.

 Delivering Happiness

My second workshop - conducted on December 19th, 2019 - intended to equip the leaders at Samsidh with skills to hire effectively. The participants followed up from the previous session that significantly supported the discussion around onboarding, engagement and induction processes, along with the role of KRAs and appraisals.

I encouraged the participants to perceive teachers as customers who should be happy and content. Samsidh welcomed this corporate philosophy as happy teachers certainly deliver happiness to the learners.

I then moved on to highlight the importance of rewarding and recognizing sincere employees. For this purpose, I ensured that all principals received a set of appreciation cards and the complimentary practice was immediately put into effect. The feedback that I received for these practices in the next workshop strengthened my conviction regarding my work.

 Live Samsidh Values and Ask HR

My final workshop of the academic year, held on February 10th, 2020, aimed at self-inquiry and analysis. I guided the leaders to recognize their predominant dispositions and be self-aware. This would help them in the optimal configuration of teams to achieve success. 

The session was the culmination of all the efforts made by all the participants around the year. We witnessed the successful launch of the ‘Live Samsidh Values’ project that had been initiated during the first workshop. The team presented booklets with guidelines and activities planned for every subject. The booklets will help teachers to easily integrate Live Samsidh Values in their daily teaching routines throughout classes. I resonate with the team’s eagerness to see its reception and the change it will bring in the culture of education at Samsidh. Furthermore, the Chairman launched the ‘Employee Guidelines Handbook’ put together by the HRs of all Samsidh branches.

I was gratified to see the practical implementation of the previous workshop I had conducted in December. The principals of all Samsidh branches presented their academic report using the new self-assessment pattern developed by the Chairman. Sweeter was the fruit when some of them shared photos and anecdotes of various initiatives taken by learners practicing Samsidh values in their everyday life. The day was truly a treat for all the effort I was able to put into my workshops at Samsidh.

These accomplishments are a combined effort of everyone at Samsidh. All educators and leaders have shown great enthusiasm throughout and are worthy of appreciation. With such enthusiastic participation, I look forward to achieving even greater heights in the next academic year with the team at Samsidh.
