Super Cup’s second El Clasico final in a row will see the La Liga giants face off on foreign soil for the third time in a year, after Barcelona won last January’s final 3-1, also in Riyadh, and beat Madrid 3-0 in a friendly in the United States in July.

This is a repeat of last year's showpiece, when Barcelona beat their fiercest rivals 3-1 in Saudi 12 months ago to claim a record-extending 14th Supercopa de Espana title.

Copa del Rey holders Real are currently seven points clear of third-place Barca in the LaLiga title race as they fight hard against surprise package Girona, running out 2-1 winners in the last Clasico at the Camp Nou in October thanks to Jude Bellingham's dramatic second-half double that included a stoppage-time winner.
