Live Now, Be Present????

Live Now, Be Present????

As I sit here bedside by a hospital bed for the 36th straight day...

I ponder the vastness of existence, one thought resonates deeply within me - the ephemeral nature of life. Our time on this Earth is but a fleeting moment, a delicate whisper amidst the vast symphony of the universe. We are here for a limited time, a mere blink of an eye in the grand tapestry of time itself.

In the midst of our daily hustle and pursuit of dreams, it's easy to get entangled in the web of material pursuits - the allure of wealth, the chase for power, and the constant quest for more. But let us not forget that these pursuits, while important in their own right, can sometimes cloud our vision and make us lose sight of what truly matters.

In the pursuit of a prosperous life, we often unintentionally distance ourselves from the ones we hold dear. Our loved ones - the pillars of our support, the ones who laugh with us in joy and stand by us in times of darkness - they are the true treasures that life bestows upon us. Yet, in the race for success, we might find ourselves neglecting the very relationships that nourish our souls.

Let's take a moment to pause and reflect. Let's remember the smiles that light up our lives, the laughter that fills our hearts, the warm embraces that offer solace beyond words. These are the moments that create the mosaic of our existence, the memories that linger long after time has moved on.

Instead of allowing the allure of money and power to consume us, let's make a conscious choice to live in the present. Let's choose to cherish the beauty of each passing moment, to bask in the love that surrounds us, to create memories that will serve as a lighthouse when life's storms roll in. Let's prioritize experiences over possessions and connections over transactions.

Life's brevity is a reminder, not of its fragility, but of its preciousness. It beckons us to savour the taste of the present, to appreciate the laughter, the tears, and the shared stories that weave the tapestry of our lives. Let's strive to make each moment count, to be present for those who matter, and to leave a legacy of love and compassion that will transcend the limitations of time.

So, let's cast aside the chains of superficial pursuits and instead, embrace the richness of relationships and experiences. Let's not be defined by what we have, but by who we are and how we touch the lives of others. Let's celebrate life not by the years we accumulate, but by the depth of our connections and the authenticity of our journey.

In the end, when we look back on our lives, let us find solace in the knowledge that we truly lived - that we loved fiercely, laughed unabashedly, and left an indelible mark on the hearts we touched. Life may be short, but its beauty can be infinite if we choose to live it fully, appreciate every breath, and be present in every precious moment.

So in summary, enjoy the present, and spend time with your family and friends. Take that holiday. Ask your crush out. Give a crack at that business idea. Go bungee jumping.

Live now and be present!

Life is short. We are here for a small blip in the enormity of time. Make the most of it with the ones you love and have no regrets. Do it now! It is the only time you have. I learnt this very quickly a few years ago being diagnosed with cancer. It was a big wake up call for me ??????

I have left instructions that we don't talk about my work at my funeral. I dont want to be remembered or linked to my career. Thats not what I live for. I see too many people living unhealthy lives and losing families because of their commitment to their job.
