Live Moore: London Bars

I don’t know what will happen with Brexit, but the dollar is strong right now, so you might want to take advantage and fly to the UK. When planning a trip to London you need to visit Buckingham Place, ride the London Eye, tour the Victoria and Albert Museum, attend a service at Westminster Abby among another 100 wonderful activities. You should also plan at the end of an exhausting day to have a drink at one of London’s amazing bars. Just visualize warm oak and dark leather while sipping a gin and tonic, a classic pint, or a Pimm’s Cup. Here are my favorites:
- American Bar at The Savoy: Regularly named the #1 bar in the world, it first opened in the 1890s. It is a must-go-to place.
- Blue Bar at The Berkeley: This bar looks like international glamour, with the walls painted in very British Lutyens blue. I recommend ordering a champagne drink here while listening to dozens of languages being spoken around you.
- Dandelyan: Housed in the Mondrian Hotel, this is the place for unique cocktails. For you foodies, international sensation Ryan Chetiyawardana creates the drinks here.
- Experimental Cocktail Club: The owners are French, but it is the place to have old fashion British cocktails. I love this place.
- Dukes Bar: Watch as the servers bring a trolley cart to your table to perfectly mix your martini in front of you. How classy is that!
- Connaught Bar: If being seen is as important as your drink, this is the place. This place screams “I have money.”
- Gordon’s Wine Bar: This is the oldest wine bar in London. You feel like you are sitting in someone’s slightly run-down castle with photos and stuff hanging everywhere.
If you have a favorite bar in London, let me know!
Live Moore.
