3 Big Ideas, Tips or Strategies for this week
1. Decision Making
A study conducted by the University of California, San Diego found that people who sleep on decisions are more likely to make better decisions than those who don't. The study also showed that people who slept on decisions had improved memory recall and better problem-solving skills. This demonstrates that taking a break before making a decision can help improve decision-making outcomes.
2. Morning Routine
One interesting new habit that has been gaining popularity for success is the practice of "morning routines." A morning routine is a set of activities that you do each day, typically first thing in the morning, to set yourself up for a productive and successful day. Some common elements of a morning routine might include exercise, meditation or mindfulness practices, goal setting and planning, and self-care activities like showering and getting dressed.
There is some evidence to suggest that establishing a morning routine can have a number of benefits for success. For example, it can help you start the day with a clear mind and focused intentions, and can give you the energy and motivation to tackle your tasks and goals. A morning routine can also help you create a sense of structure and routine in your life, which can be helpful for maintaining productivity and focus. Finally, a morning routine can help you take care of yourself and prioritize self-care, which can be important for maintaining overall well-being and avoiding burnout.
3. Habits
In his book, Atomic Habits, James Clear argues that small, incremental changes in habits can lead to significant and lasting improvements in a person's life. He suggests that by focusing on building good habits and breaking bad ones, it is possible to achieve success in a variety of areas, including health, career, and relationships. The idea of atomic habits has gained widespread popularity in recent years, with many people finding it a helpful framework for improving their lives through the development of good habits.

Routines and habits are those traits which have to be self cultivated only. No help book or guide. It should be part of upbringing to have a nation of people with good physical health and good mental wealth.

2 年Thanks Raam Anand for insightful pack. Nice to know a new scientific fact on decision making, that a brief pause before decision makes it vibrant and powerful compared to fast-paced/compulsive decision. However unfortunately most of business school across the globe are still motivating the former as smart-approch.
