Live to Eat.

There is a saying in my country India: the way to a heart goes through the stomach, so let me discuss the two 'W's: 'What' and 'Where' to find out some mouth-watering foods to fill our hungry tummy. I being a non-foodie but modest explorer going to give you a glimpse of all those dishes and drinks I found intriguing on the Irish soil in 6 months.

You can't love Ireland without loving spuds(potatoes). So, you better fall in love with potatoes before coming here.

The Irish love potatoes and when I say potatoes, I mean Mashed potatoes, Roasted Potatoes, Boiled potatoes, Fried Potatoes, Baked Potatoes and Fries.

Other than potatoes, if you are in Galway, you do not want to go back without hopping in to “Dough Bros” for a few slices of Pizza and Bruschetta. The Italian recipe will make you kill one another for just a slice of pizza. On weekends get your head into Food Market at Lombard St. There you can find few verities of scrumptious dishes. I just love going there. I can’t go further without talking about drinks. It won’t be worth talking about all the Irish drinks which are available everywhere so I would want to recommend you to get in to “The Dail Bar” and order a cocktail called “Zombie”. I bet you will not start drinking without taking a photo.

City Cork has its unique radiant with lots of verities and options, I found "The Fish wife" is the right place if you want to see a dead but ym fish laying on your plate with a lovely fragrance. I found "The Fish Wife" is one of the best spots for seafood lover at an affordable price.

"Franciscan Well” is another astonishing restaurant to enjoy pizza and beer. They have their own recipe for pizzas and produce their own home brand beer. The place is also nice and warm with a fire lamp next to you.

''The Locke" A bar must be your first target bar if find yourself in Limerick which will give you the authentic feeling of being in Ireland with Irish music and live River dance. The environment will make you feel like dancing. I found this bar is best in Ireland

Drinking Guinness in the Guinness Store House with panorama view of Dublin City will take you to a different world. Experiencing soothing taste of beer Guinness in there is enough to make you fan of it. Among numerous options to dine in Dublin, I found “The Istanbul” the best restaurant for Asian who loves spices and “Umi Falafel” for vegans. They both are so reasonable and has finger-licking taste.

Last but most important Whiskies- the Irish whiskey. The whiskey with a super smooth and subtle taste you can find in North called Bushmills. Bushmills is available everywhere but the flavour I found in Belfast was a completely different experience. So, add Bushmills to your to-do list if you are heading to Northern Ireland.

I know there would hundreds of place and thousands of dishes that I am not aware of as of now but it has been just been 6 months. Many days to come and food to discover. Stay Starve.
