As we fast approach the beginning of a new year, I’m reminded that it will be almost four years since I took up the leadership role as Director of Vodafone Shared Services.

At the time I shared with my colleagues, that #digital lay at the heart of everything, transforming almost every facet of how we live our lives.

?I believed that in an ever-changing and evolving landscape, our organisation needed to adapt at pace and at scale if it were to serve the needs of our customers and play a pivotal role in delivering the digital agenda - and that belief has remained unchanged!

‘Change’ was and still is our guiding light. It defined our narrative and was brought to life in our brand world – an ever-changing digital world, the world of _VOIS.

Back then “unprecedented” was a word that belonged to sci-fi. Now it sets the tone and the commentary for the challenges our colleagues, our customers and indeed the whole of humankind are having to deal with each and every day.

So I’m not surprised that my many thousands of colleagues in _VOIS, go above and beyond as they implement Vodafone’s strategy to provide digital services for a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable world.

We strive to change the game for our internal partners and customers, and we do so because our people are brilliant! From AI wizards and tech rockstars to commercial gurus and customer care champions – our people’s commitment is to help be the change.

This human feat is fused with digital innovation at every turn. From the outset we recognised a need to design and build digital tools to accelerate the pace of change and to disrupt the status quo.

Our innovation ‘labs’, the EDGE, delivers working prototypes to solve the challenges our partners and customers are facing. From the automation of manual processes in supply chains, to creating digital twins to simulate complex “what-if” scenarios in customer care – our clarion call is to make what was once deemed impossible, possible!

In our world today, clouds of inertia and uncertainty often portray a sense of encircling gloom and negativity. So at _VOIS, we are relentless in our pursuit to deliver positive change.

We know that “perfect”, is never quite realised. So we have made our goal progress!

And to change often with fairness and truth is a pathway to achieve progress. In a world that never stops, neither does _VOIS.
