5g makes financial modelling with dynamic arrays easy, even easier than traditional modelling. And dynamic arrays with 5g lower model error potential dramatically.

This 'bootcamp' features sessions spread over three weeks. Giles Male (co-founder of Full Stack Modeller) will start the sessions covering the fundamentals of three statement modelling. Diarmuid Early (two time FMWC champion, Microsoft MVP, and co-founder of The Golden Company) will then take us into the realm of modern Excel guiding us through the fundamentals of Dynamic Arrays and LAMBDA. These three areas—Financial Modelling, Dynamic Arrays, and LAMBDA—are the foundation of 5g.

The future of financial modelling is dynamic arrays. Dynamic arrays are extremely easy to use and dramatically reduce model error potential. Dynamic array models perform faster and have smaller file sizes. They can replace 70% of a financial model's calculations with less effort than traditional formulas. Ten percent of a financial model's calculations require minor knowledge of dynamic array functions like SEQUENCE() and CHOOSEROWS(). The remaining 20% require LAMBDA.

Diarmuid Early will demystify LAMBDA. LAMBDAs can be simple and straightforward while adding names to formulas to help us understand their purpose. However, not everyone will want to learn LAMBDA. For those, 5g provides that functionality without any special skills.

5g will close this bootcamp with hands-on live instruction. We will explore some 5g functions, see a traditional model converted to a 100% dynamic array model with support from 5g, learn how to import and use 5g functions in our own models, and try our hand at creating a 5g function.
