Little things you can do to have a good life
Pick one. Do it. Feel Good.
Being addicted to self-help books, I am always looking for whatever new I can learn. Throughout the years, I have dived into many books including How to live a good life by Jonathan Fields, Think and grow rich by Napoleon Hills and many more, and listen to self-help audios. While I am reading I feel good as it greatly pumps me up with lots of positivity.
My friend asked,“Why do you keep on reading this stuff”? Does it even help you to take useful action for yourself?
I think I was looking for the way out to finding the good life. As the world is bogged down with lots of frustration, I used to wake up daily with the same routine that made me feel like a zombie. So, the self-help books!
The books won’t help you unless you use them as a tool for introspection.
True AF. Throughout the years, I have improved my quality of life by altering my behavior towards how I am living. It’s the little things that I do daily is what makes a big difference in my life.
“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” ~Robert Brault
Do you feel like you’re going about your day unconsciously and you are not happy with it? Now is the time to turn over a new leaf.
Reading this article, you’ll find how little things you put into practice can make your life better.
Keep moving your “to-do” list to “ta-da” list
Much of our life gets wasted in reaching up to what is expected of us. This makes it clear to understand why you need to pace yourself up. When you are trying to get your work done on your “to-do” list, make sure you have a list of things along to add the things that you have already done for the day. TA-DA is a sound of trumpets calling showing the accomplishment. This will help you set yourself for success and celebrate your accomplishments.
Pro Tip: ProofHub can help you create lists containing everything you want to accomplish and what you have accomplished.
Treat others how you want to be treated
This is the golden rule of a happy life. You will be treated exactly the way you treat others. Start with having a deep understanding of yourself. Of course, nobody wants to be treated with a punch on the face, so better not treat anyone with a punch on their face. People will give you what you give to them, so rethink what you are giving to others.
Be grateful
When was the last you appreciated what you have in your life? We often take our life for granted. We are probably wasting our every day in anticipation of big tomorrow. But do remember now is all that we have got to live in it. I don’t practice gratitude daily but whenever I do it makes me happy. Simply sit down in a place with no distractions, close your eyes and bring in the thoughts of things you are grateful for.
Find your golden hours
“Golden hours” are those hours of the day when you are ready to dive into the hours you are most alert, motivated and inspired. I have discovered my most productive hours of the day when I am highly persuaded to crank through the most important things on plate relative easily. How to figure out your peak hours?
- Play around with your day
- Check in with yourself frequently
- Track your time for a week daily
- Take control of your schedule
With these strategies, you can be aware of your golden hours and work during these hours to make your life more enjoyable.
Watch out your negative thoughts
Each day it is quite easy to fall prey to negative thoughts that bring us unwanted pain. And the more we give in to our negative thoughts the more we give it a chance to be strong. When you know how to handle your thoughts, it becomes easy to shift the focus to positive thoughts. Your mind will suffer less growing into a beautiful outcome.
Life is too short to wear boring clothes
Why look boring in boring clothes when you could look interesting. Your clothes leave a big impact on your mood and your confidence for the day. You can turn your day good or bad according to your mood by putting a little effort into what you choose to wear.
Face your fear
Every day do one thing that you might be fearful of. Be it a small fear of talking with your seniors, giving out your ideas or a big one, do not let it dominate your life. Start by taking it slowly every day and soon it will leave a good impression on not only others but on you as well. And when you are highly impressed by your own self, you will instantaneously feel happy.
Compliment others
If you like their ideas, praise them. If you loved the way they are dressed, compliment them. Such heartfelt compliments to people around you will be of advantage to you. When you share your generous words with them, it will leave a positive impact on their day making you feel connected and cared about. We all need to feel valued, and respected.
Enjoy your every day
Look for those little bright moments that will strengthen your belief in yourself. Be sure of seeing the good in everything to have the joy of living. Spend some time alone to better know your emotions, treat yourself and do things that excite you. Create a bucket list and start striking off things every day. Begin enjoying every day of your life.
Life actually seems fuller when I planted the seeds for all these little joys. Eventually, I started feeling glad about the purpose of my life adding meaning to my life. Getting up each day has become the most exciting thing in the world.
