We're excited to share our 2023 updates with you. At LPL, we're passionate about using space-tech to make the world a better place. With our advanced data processing capabilities in space, we can deliver actionable insights to users in just a few minutes and unlock a whole new host of time-sensitive use cases - like rapid detection of natural disasters, or spotting illegal fishing vessels!?

Missions

First in-orbit end-to-end deployment

In Q4 2022, we completed our first in-orbit mission by successfully deploying and running our product onto an in-orbit satellite. By doing so we reduced the required size of data download by 98%!

Near real-time illegal fishing vessel detection

LPL is teaming up with Exo-Space to prevent illegal fishing in Thailand. Our upcoming deployment would enable near-real-time detection of fishing vessels to help authorities combat the dire problem of illegal fishing.

Recent Achievements?

Acceptance into AWS Space Accelerator

LPL is thrilled to be one of only 13 startups chosen globally for the AWS 2023 Space Accelerator. This a great opportunity to expand our network of partners and gain access to resources and expertise to continue growing. Our first US Air Force contract

We're delighted to announce that Little Place Labs has secured a Phase 1 STTR contract with the US Air Force! This significant milestone allows us to further develop our concept of rapid space-based Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR). We'll be collaborating closely with potential end-users, warfighters, and guardians to enhance our capabilities.?????

Received UK Space Agency SPIN Grant

For the second year in a row, we've received the "Space Placements in Industry" (SPIN) grant from the UK space agency! This year we?welcome Abdulhameed Yunusa to our team as a Data Science Intern.

We're excited to help students interested in space gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies and research!???

Hear, Hear

Our CEO Bosco Lai was invited to be a panelist in the "Smart Space" Series by the Sa?d Business School, University of Oxford. The theme was "Why space governance must go hand in hand with space innovation?", along with other industry leaders. Upcoming Event

Catch us at the Collision Conference in Toronto this June from the 26th to the 29th where we'll be pitching on the big stage! We look forward to seeing all of you and connecting with you there! ?

Join us at the 37th annual Small Satellite Conference at the Utah State University Logan next August from the 5th to the 10th where we'll be showcasing our capabilities! We can't wait to see you all again!
