A Little Light Reading

From the norm I wish to retreat

As if to give myself a treat

Albeit with no honor nor award

Still a certain smile will be left there ensured

Try if you can

To create a boy from before you that certain man

Rejoicing in those simple pleasures still

As if commanded by his own free will

Worry yourself not

It may come slowly but there is a plot

Perhaps a girl may come his way

Aimed at his attentions to sway

She suggests a walk along the river

Causing the boy to start to shiver

Though not from the cold

But from images he began to behold

Yes that would be grand

Come then and take my hand

And wherever you wish to go

I will be there willing to follow

So as they walked along

Impressions would not be wrong

Doing what young lovers do

I remember do you

As if could I just may

Want the same on a sweet summer’s day

But back to the two

There are other moments for me and you

?Moving along with little speed

As if nothing there was in need

Til the shadows grew long

Finding themselves where they did belong

Quietly the boy asks of her

As the day has been quite a blur

You took my hand

As if it was as you had planned

For how else could it come to be

That you should have come looking for me

I might have been looking for you true

But sometimes love leaves a clue

And was just listening to my heart

It alone knew where the search was to start

Slowly neared the girl the boy did lean

Leaving no space between

Now is not a chance to miss

Giving the girl their first kiss

And while breaking the embrace

Smiling lovingly at her face

My heart too spoke to me

But all it said was where to be

So you can imagine my feeling of luck

When to where I was you had snuck

Who knew where there once was only a glance

Would become such a chance

Now as the tale is through

For dreams of young lovers can always come true

?Time may fly by faster than you can blink

But does leave chances there to think

Remembering when once taking a walk

Led to more than just talk
