A Little Less, A Little More
Today's devotional is from Life is a Goldmine: Can You Dig It?
"I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches" - 2 Corinthians 11:27-28.
If you put Paul into a special category of a "super man," you will miss the lesson from his life for yours, which is that Paul did more than he thought possible and you can too. He worked under extreme pressure, yet was able to be productive and accomplish much in a short amount of time. If Paul can do all that, what more can you do than you are doing now? What small changes in your time management, like a little less sleep, a little less television, or a little less time doing nothing, can reap large returns in doing what is in your heart to do?
Lord, I look at Paul's life and marvel at what he did. Yet he was a human just like me, who was filled with Your Spirit. If Paul could do all he did, I need to find out the possibilities of all I can do. I know one thing for sure: It is more than I am doing now. Help me see the changes I need to make to be effective in my lifetime as Paul was in his.
