A little intro of myself

I didn’t dream this. Nor did I expect this.

Yet here I am. I feel called to be myself and to introduce myself.

At age 14, I became an environmentalist. I believe in cleaner and healthier ecology for people of all classes, the animals, the flora and the fauna.

I dived into engineering, systems thinking, participatory decision-making, and policy at school.

Then I dived into managing water and solid waste infrastructure — the operations, the financing, the contracts.

Stumbled into turning around troubled water utilities back to health. Then I went into strategic business development of complex projects.

My naivety of the world expanded and shrunk. Then a few more times during my 15+ years in corporate.

Some may say “jaded” or “growing up”.

Yet what I can undeniably see is the creativity, resourcefulness, dedication, and service in people. There’s something alluring about it. Something so elusive, ethnically unbendable, indestructible. I can hear it, feel it, sense it.

The humanness of people. The untapped potential of raw human talent.

And I believe this essence of our talents is a path forward to serving people of all classes and the environment. That it would eventually create simpler ways to consume in a modern society. impart in our future generations a healthier sense of treating people and Mother Earth, and allow more open conversations among our world leaders.

So I bring all my expertise, experiences, and worldviews to this point.

I help regular nine to fivers who want "something else" for their careers to carve their signature livelihood paths. On their own terms.

Distilling, defining, and structuring come super easy for me. Using that, I can help people to articulate their sweet spot of expertise and creativity. Knowing this is a powerful catalyst.

Next, I help them to express it in their own words so their worlds can see their real talents. It’s not about gimmicks or bragging. It’s about having your human potential no longer hidden, shoved aside, or untapped. I conveniently call this “personal brand”.

As an systems thinker, I see when moving parts are in sync or not. So I also help people to use the effect of compounding to their advantage. Using simple systems to gain momentum, to get in front of the right people, to gain confidence in your new blended area of expertise, to form collaborations, to nail deals. The world becomes your oyster. Time is now on your side.

My title? “Radical Career Coach” and it can vary day to day.

Alongside The Parfum Agency , I lead by putting my money where my mouth is — to groom talents, especially those in my ‘hood. I became an angel investor of European startups.

What’s next? An unscripted 30-day mini-series on how I ended up articulating my own sweet spot of my expertise and creativity. Going from being a professionally-licensed engineer in corporate one day to an entrepreneur / alternative career coach the next.

I have never done anything like this before. It feels daunting. Feels like live TV. Maybe words can indeed flow day after day — without jammed signals, panic, and losing face.
