A little goes a long way
I’m pleased to share my recent journey to Northern Uganda, where I had the privilege of visiting two remarkable organisations: Okere City and Wajoli School.
Okere City is a shining example of community-driven social enterprise. With a school, health clinic, village bank, and a multi-purpose community hall, all powered by solar energy, it’s a beacon of sustainable rural development.
Wajoli School, part of the Wajoli Foundation, is transforming education in rural communities of Gulu District. They’re not just focused on academics; they’re nurturing well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to their communities.
I had the joy of delivering books collected from generous friends and neighbours. ?I was moved the teachers, the head teacher and the students, who showed me their passion and determination to learn and grow with limited resources.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to my friends and neighbours who contributed, and especially to Uchenna Eze who assisted with the collection and delivery of the books, and Olu Alake at the The Africa Centre and Aijaz Ahmad at Rainbow Fostering Services Ltd who donated books and t-shirts.
If this story inspires you and you want to support these organisations, consider making a donation. Every bit helps and makes a difference in the lives of these children and their community.?
Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
