Little did we know at the time how the COVID-19 crisis would make our project so relevant

"We are reducing Cross-Infections and Hospital Acquired Infections."That was the initial goal we set out to achieve when Diana Pires and I started working together on the Showercare project.

With her professional experience as a nurse, she had come to realise that a lot of Hospital Acquired Infections that afflicted bedridden patients were caused either by poor hygiene due to the difficulty of adequately washing a patient in that context or, worse, due to the hygiene process itself, commonly known as "sponge bath", that at times did little more than spread around the skin microbiome.

So we set ourselves to revolutionise the way hygiene is delivered to bedridden patients, by creating a process based on a patented proprietary combo of device and disposables that would allow the healthcare professional to deliver a full, warm-water, completely sterile shower to a patient committed to a bed. And make it fast, comfortable and affordable.

So it is our pleasure to announce that, after a couple of years of very hard work by Diana with some of my help, we are now ready to start our first pilots in Portuguese and German partner hospital institutions!!

Right now, we need all the help we can get. We need more contacts with health institutions. We need investment. And we need everyone that can spare a couple of minutes to spread the word.

Can you please help?
