Pink Floyd - "Wish You Were Here".
Picture this. You're on air. Live. It's a Classic Rock format.
You're just about to intro 'that song'.
You're in the mode. In the zone. You know what's coming.
The background cough during the guitar intro.
When you first heard it, you thought "Is that someone coughing?"
You know your listener also thought that when they first heard it too.
Open the mic...and tease the 'bit'.
In under twenty seconds, they will hear 'the little cough' and be part of the club.
* Then everytime they hear that classic song in the future, they'll remember you introducing it to them.
* To the older rock listener, you are already one of them.
The simple power and beauty of live radio.
You are both on a journey together. Riding that wave.
Connection.

2 年I think this is spot on. Rather than pages of prepared notes, communicating love of the music can be done in way more clever ways. It's a tiny point, but a genius one that makes your show sound better!
