Position Overview

• Role: Litigation Law Clerk
• Specialization: Insolvency & Bankruptcy
• Location: Toronto, ON
• Starting Salary: $75,000+ (commensurate with experience)

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll work closely with attorneys, clients, and court personnel to manage all aspects of insolvency and bankruptcy litigation. Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting and filing legal documents, including motions, affidavits, and briefs
• Supporting lawyers with trial preparation and managing case files
• Conducting legal research to support case strategy
• Communicating with clients, court officials, and third-party agencies
• Managing documentation related to bankruptcy filings and creditor claims

This position offers hands-on experience with challenging cases, a focus on skill development, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to high-stakes litigation.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Law Clerk in litigation, with specific experience in insolvency and bankruptcy.
• Education: Law Clerk diploma or equivalent credentials.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and research skills. Proficiency with legal software and document management systems is highly desirable.
• Attributes: An eye for detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
