Listening to The Future Sound of London in the Future
Remember when you were in school and thought "Everything will make sense when I am older?" My growth and aging was stunted. I would tell my past self the future is pretty much the same.
You were expecting jet packs and flying cars? No, in the future we have militias that plan to kidnap a Governor, put her on trial and then kill her. So why bother with a trial? As barbaric as the world has become? What can I say about The Future Sound of London?
I am not so old as to be annoyed by EDM. Electronic Dance Music seems to bother people of a certain age. That was a lesser factor why I left the second job. They lived in a bubble. Not like the NBA bubble where people could at least go to Orlando.
They did the same things for years and never improved. Listening to an unfamiliar band? It's like listening to an extended version of Revolution #9. I don't think The Beatles released a stranger song than that.
People do not move forward as they once did. Musicians used to expand their horizons. Now the pop singers of today sing the next Max Martin written song which sounds like the last one.
Think about how Motown had a group of writers and performers. There was a distinct sound. The music did not sound interchangeable. People don't take chances anymore and try very little that is new. Sounds like there is another pandemic amidst the one we are still enduring.
