Listening to deliver greater value and insights
Annette Trenz, Vice-President and Head of Industry Business Intelligence, shares how the CGI Voice of Our Clients (VOC) conversations are an opportunity to listen to her clients and share insights that enable them to reflect on their own strategies, activities and progress in relation to their peers, prompting them to ask questions like: "Are we doing enough to grow and drive our future?" "Are we on the right path?"
VOC conversations are not a sales pitch. These conversations are about listening to my clients and sharing insights. Insights that are based on aggregated, anonymous data about how my client’s peers are performing and the similarities and differences between the challenges they face and future trends they expect.
Perhaps the most valuable aspect of these conversations is the opportunity it gives my clients to reflect on their own strategies, activities and progress in relation to their peers, who may be digital leaders or who may not yet be seeing expected results from their digital strategies. My clients use these insights to ask themselves questions like: “Are we doing enough to grow and drive our future?" “Are we on the right path?”

Many of the clients I speak with are global players and active in multiple sectors and value our ability to provide rich cross-industry data that reflects their ecosystems. And every year, the number of clients asking to share our VOC findings is growing. This, coupled with the fact that my clients also recommend that their colleagues request our findings, underpins how valuable these insights are to them. To me, another indicator of the value of these conversations is the time my C-suite client executives are willing to set aside for these interactions, often along with their entire teams.
