Listening in on the 3rd CHIPS Act IAC

The Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC) has received 90 recommendations for national microelectronics research and development strategy. This meeting is covering the industry input and where the IAC's thinking is regarding funding by the CHIPS and Science Act, and new public-private partnerships.

New hires were introduced. Eric Lin has been serving as the interim CHIPS Research and Development Program Director. He now has a permanent position as Deputy Director of the R&D Office under Lora Weiss who's been a SVP at Penn State.

The announced CHIPS Research and Development (R&D) Office leaders are:

  • Lora Weiss, Director?
  • Eric Lin, Deputy Director?
  • Neil Alderoty, Executive Officer?
  • Richard-Duane Chambers, Associate Director for Integration and Policy
  • Marla Dowell, Director of the CHIPS Metrology R&D Program
