Listen to Your Heart and Pivot

Life through me a curveball today and I'm going where my heart is instead of sharing marketing tips.

My partner George, the heart of my world, was taken to the ER yesterday due to severe knee issues.?

While the hospital wanted to admit him, no room was available so he spent the night in the ER. It reminded me of the biblical phrase, "There's no room at the inn.”

In times like this, you think of the many aspects of life we can’t control. Yet, what matters is how we choose to respond to these challenges. It's about resilience, the art of navigating life's upheavals with grace and courage.

Thinking about this, I'm reminded of a verse from John O'Donohue's poem "For Courage":

Cold as a stone inside,

When you find yourself bereft

Of any belief in yourself

And all you unknowingly

Leaned on has fallen,

When one voice commands

Your whole heart,

And it is raven dark,

Steady yourself and see

That it is your own thinking

That darkens your world.

Search and you will find

A diamond-thought of light,

Know that you are not alone,

And that this darkness has purpose;

Gradually it will school your eyes,

To find the one gift your life requires

Hidden within this night-corner.

Today, I’m where my heart lies, trying to be elastic and resilient. While today's post deviates from my usual marketing insights, it's a reflection of life's unpredictable nature and our capacity to adapt and thrive.

Next week, I'll return with those marketing tips, but for now, I embrace the pivot, finding strength in vulnerability and resilience in the face of adversity. Remember to be elastic, to stretch and not break under life's pressures. And to always, always bounce back.
