Listen to your customer but don't listen to your customer

As a PM, my advice is to not to listen to your customers for solutions rather listen to them for the problems.
If you start implementing everything that your customer wants, you will end up having a non-recognizable, non-scale-able product
The job of the PM is not to execute everything that the customer ask for but to solve the customer problem and often solutions proposed by customers are narrow in scope.

3 年Totally agree! The proof of the product is in prototyping, MVP and shipping - I believe no solution will work for everyone, so let customers decide how do they want to use the product, focussing on basics like convenience and usability should be the focus.

3 年True Amit Kumar Singh , customer input is the data that feeds into the process, without validation, for its breadth of appeal, feasibility of execution, and sustainability over time, you may have a mess on your hands.
