Listen to your alarm! Get out of your bed!
It's no surprise that we've all had those mornings wherein our alarms have yelled and screamed at us to wake up, to get out of our bed and to start our day. But what do we do? We turn it off and slip back under the covers. Now many of you might say its laziness, which I do agree but what if I tell you there's something more to this. Something more than our weariness - Its the lack of a reason.
A REASON? Yeah you heard that right. People cannot get up in the morning. They cannot get out of their beds. You know why? Because they know that this new day is no longer new for them. They can predict the feeling of everything that's gonna happen in their life and their mind resigns to the repetitive and says 'Oh no another monotonous day, nothing has changed, it's all the same.' When you start your day with such an uncooperative mind, surely you wouldn't want to get up.
Now here's an alternative to this. Everyday you can wake up with a new brain. The brain who is waking up with an understanding of expecting the unexpected. You are waking up thinking today's gonna be a delightful day. I can wait no longer in my bed. I want to live this day!
For this to happen, we need a reason greater than reality. Let your hopeful spirit take charge of your mind. Assure yourself that you are gonna make this day different. Tell yourself that life is only about a bunch of days, some of which I have lived and some I have yet to encounter. Ask yourself 'Whats is it that this new day brings me?' Change the way you think and you will see your world change. I have seen people who say, 'I wish I could live without sleeping because I feel like there's so much to do and sleep robs me of my precious time.' When you engage yourself with tasks you love to do, sleep and rest become secondary things.
