If you’ve ever been involved in cricket, or if you follow sports at all, you will know that a regular question asked when a team is ready to head into competition is: how bad do you want it to win?
It’s a question about desire.
It’s a question about drive.
It’s not first and foremost a question about skill, how prepared or strategy.
Rather it’s a question about passion, need—even craving.
The answer to this question will often make or break a player or a team.
Now when it comes to knowing God, this is a question that will define everything.
God truly wants to know how badly you want Him.
Are you satisfied with a casual relationship? Or do you long for something more––something with fire, passion, electricity and energy?
Far too many believers are satisfied with simply being church goers, on their way to heaven.
As a result, they can never talk about their experience with God in history. They don’t truly know Him as He desires to be known.
This is because knowing God comes through effort, pursuit and desire. It’s not merely flipping open your holy book, bible or artifacts and looking for a verse a day to keep the devil away.
Knowing God involves an intentional quest for intimacy.
The question for you is,
Do you want God to Listen to you , or you Listen to him.
