Listen with the intent to UNDERSTAND
As I reflect appreciate the capabilities of those who crossed my path in the far past and most recently, I think of how much I've learned from others. Working smarter and not harder demands intelligence that comes from numbers. But, equally as important as the numerical trends, the metrics and patterns is the power of people who listen to understand. While at a leadership meeting this past week, I heard top leaders from my company stressing the point of listening to truly UNDERSTAND and focusing on activity that makes a difference. Also, not mistaking activity for accomplishment. So, HEAR we Go!
