Listen to grow your real estate business...

Have you ever noticed this... you buy a new car and you would swear you see very few like it on the road... but when you drive off the lot it seems like every 3rd car is what you bought?

Business is like that. Especially for those of us in real estate.

Go to a bar and there will be people talking about real estate. At church, at kid's sports, at social functions... everywhere you go there are people talking about mortgage rates, new homes, remodeling projects and more.

Best of all there are a lot of prospects out there talking about real estate... if you would only train yourself to listen. Why are so many discussing it? Simple answer is that housing is one of the 3 most fundamental needs we have... food, shelter and clothing. A home is the American Dream. A home is something people work years to buy. Here are a few tips...

  1. Pay attention to your friends posts on social media
  2. Pay attention to conversations around you
  3. Pay attention to what your neighbors are doing (often painting, flooring etc mean a house for sale is coming)
  4. Ask questions and listen to the answers
  5. Pay attention to changes in the lives of those around you (promotions, divorces, kids moving out... so many things lead to changing homes if you just pay attention)

So if you need more business start by listening carefully to what those around you are talking about. You will find opportunity abounds.
