Lion City - Wang Da Bang

Singapore has finally emerged from our semi-lockdown period, also known as the "Circuit Breaker". As the town rustles with life again, what are some of the reflections and lessons we have gained over the past two months? Certainly, each one of us will have our own unique learning. As a parent and businesswoman, I learnt deeper lessons on having the courage to fight on. When the cards are down and we have to forge ahead no matter what, and do our utmost to surmount all challenges and succeed. That in itself is a journey to cherish.

#Artist Wang Da Bang was born in Changchun and graduated from the Lu Xun Fine Art Institute. He has been involved in oil #painting, mural painting, industrial #art creation, as well as fine arts teaching for many years. His works have garnered the Excellence Award in the National Inaugural Wall Art Exhibition; the National Gold Award in the individual category at 99 Worlds Gardening Exposition Wall Carving; and the Gold Award and Special Award at the World Chinese Art #Exhibition etc.

Many of his oil paintings and traditional #Chinese paintings are kept by native and foreign collectors. His signature work is the “Buddha Biography”, which is currently kept at the main hall at the Chinese Anshan Jade Buddha Park. This painting was done by him in #Singapore when he had the chance to #exhibit in Singapore some years back.
