Role: Engineer III- Linux and Cloud

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Onsite Role

The responsibilities of Engineer III- Linux and Cloud include the following:

• ?Ensuring effective daily operations of company’s Linux based systems.
• Experience with running virtualized Linux based systems within a VMware environment.
• Knowledge and experience with VMware’s Tanzu platform
• In accordance with change management policy, make changes to system software and hardware so that performance meets company’s objectives and maintain SLA’s.
• Experience with implementing and maintaining anti-virus for Linux based systems like RPM, DEB, etc.
• Experience in patching and maintaining Linux based systems.
• Manage and apply necessary system security access.
• Analyze performance indicators to ensure that systems are operating efficiently.
• Advance knowledge of Linux based server’s and associated products.
• Build and maintain Linux based servers and associated applications in a highly available, scalable, and secure environment.
• Basic knowledge of DNS/SAN/WAN/LAN networking
• Experience working with Azure, or other cloud-based platforms.
• Provide support, troubleshooting, and design of our cloud environment.
• Experience with Tomcat and Apache
• Exposure and experience with cloud-based platforms as an extension of the Linux based server environment.
• Perform root cause analysis for Linux based servers.
• Team player and ability to work well with others.
• Experience working in the Healthcare Industry will be an added advantage.
• After hours and weekend work at times required.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of VMware’s Tanzu platform.
• Strong knowledge of storage and security administration, in addition to load balancing and application of appropriate security measures.
• Strong planning, organization, critical thinking, decision-making and communication (verbal and written) skills.

Education qualifications:

·???????? Eight (8) or more years of hands-on experience working with Linux based systems and Azure environments.

·???????? Linux: Five plus (5+) years of experience in administration of Linux or Unix-like computer operating system assembled under the model of free and open-source software development and distribution.

·???????? Demonstrated experience with Apache Tomcat, often referred to as Tomcat Server.
