#LinkedInSpam
OK LinkedIn. Now that you have become Facebook for “business people”...
LinkedIn used to present a cool opportunity to reach out to those in your field, maybe “meet” a friend of a friend. It was a way to learn about your field and business in general by listening to people talk about your field or business in general!
It has now become a way for solicitors (many off shore) to spam you in a relentless way. It has also become, like Facebook, a place where people seem to feel they need to post “motivational sayings" and images like Antelope outrunning Cheetah’s?!
Is anyone ever motivated by these type of things? I own my own business and I don’t need a Cheetah behind me to be motivated to exceed promises I made to my clients and employees. I will continue to hide and delete these annoyances and how about this… if I post that I need one of the 100’s of unrelated services that LinkedIn has afforded people that pay more than my $20 a month to bomb me with please by all means reach out.
Until then I am not interested in spending an hour every day sorting through crap I will never want from people I will never know.
For those of you that have kindly accepted my invitation to join my network and those of you that were kind enough to invite me to your network I will continue to be interested in you and your career journey and do whatever I can to help you in any way I can. That is how I want to be “Linked In”.

9 年Honestly...yes. Too much SPAM, too many nauseating platitudes, too many republican vs democrat nonsense posts.
