LinkedIn’s commitment to helping your organization
I've been reflecting on the fact that the world we live in is quite different from what it was just a few months ago. And I know from connecting with many of you that you feel the same. As leaders, we're making complex decisions on a daily basis to keep our teams and communities safe, while also moving our businesses forward.
Many of you have asked me how LinkedIn is managing and working in this unprecedented global environment, and how we can help your teams stay connected and productive. We take our role supporting you and your businesses very seriously, so I wanted to shed some light on the tools we've made available to you and your teams.
Like us, you and your teams are likely working remotely to help do your part to contain the spread of coronavirus. And whether your organization is a remote worker’s haven or you’re just dipping your toes into the virtual working world, the fact remains that few of us have dived in at the current scale.
We want to help. We want you and your teams to not only adapt, but to thrive. To do that, we’ve unlocked a number of LinkedIn Learning courses that focus on being creative, dynamic, and productive while working from home, as well as tips on using virtual meeting tools to build relationships in a new working environment — whether that’s solo in your studio apartment, or at your kitchen table, side-by-side with your kids, like myself. They’re now available for free.
As a leadership team at LinkedIn, facts guide our decision making. We recognize how important it is for you to have fact-based information and resources at your fingertips, and our global editorial team is here to help drown out some of the noise out there. They’re curating trusted, real-time news and facts on COVID-19 — including insights on the impact to the economy, how organizations are responding, and policy changes being made by the World Health Organization.
Another unfortunate side effect of coronavirus? Being faced with cancelling important events — events that you’ve likely poured your hearts and souls into planning for weeks, months, even years. Instead of fully cancelling, we're seeing organizations explore virtual alternatives by using LinkedIn Live to share updates in real time, like the World Health Organization, which did its first LinkedIn Live Q&A on mental health. Social networking is even more important when we’re social distancing, so we’ve also added the LinkedIn Events capability for your Company Page to provide an easy way to invite first-degree connections and manage events online.
Now more than ever, we’ll navigate this situation together. If there are things you need from us or additional ways we can support you, please don’t hesitate to let us know and share your comments or questions below. And most importantly, I wish good health for you, your families, and your communities.
