Yesterday, I received a question from my friend Ruth who had spent hours trying to find a solution for a couple issues she was having with LinkedIn. I get these two questions often and have found some workarounds. I thought you might appreciate knowing these solutions too.
Here are the two issues she was having:
?
Issue #1 Workaround: LinkedIn imports the image from your website so you cannot edit it on LI. It must be changed on your website. That said, one thing you can do is post it in your Featured section. In the Featured section, you can add a thumbnail that is the right size.
?
Issue #2 Workaround: You cannot add a link to a picture file from your computer... but, you can do this from your LinkedIn mobile app!! Save your graphic on your phone (you can use the Canva app to download it). Then, upload the image from your phone to LinkedIn. When you do this, you will see an option to add the hyperlink. See the image below with the rectangle.
?
BONUS: You can also mark up the image, add text, add alt text, tag someone in the image, or add a sticker.

I don’t find LinkedIn to be intuitive for the user, especially with some of the awesome features they give you, like creating documents (aka: flipbooks or carousels) and setting up newsletters. So, if you find yourself in a pinch, down a rabbit hole, or banging your head against the wall, send me a message and I might be able to quickly help you find a solution.

Happy Selling!
Jennifer
