LinkedIn & WhatsApp Complement Each Other - Here's Why

As a professional networker, my job is to connect people to help meet their business goals.
The two primary tools I use to accomplish this are LinkedIn and WhatsApp.
Alone, these are both extremely useful platforms in their own right.
But combined, these two tools are an absolute powerhouse - not least since they both complement each other so well.
LinkedIn has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft since 2016.?As of February this year, it has 830+ million registered members from over 200 countries and territories.
WhatsApp, on the other hand, is owned by Meta (Facebook) and has become the world's most popular messaging platform with more than 2 billion users.
LinkedIn is an invaluable information resource.?You can immediately see where any given individual is located, where they were educated, where they have worked, who you know in common, and who has recommended them.?Which is why I insist that people include their LinkedIn URL when I invite them to join my enormous 300+ WhatsApp Group ecosystem.?
However, personally I find the user experience on LinkedIn somewhat slow and ‘clunky’.
With WhatsApp, on the other hand, communications are more or less instant.?The virtual networking that my WhatsApp groups facilitate is primarily text driven - which is why I encourage members to use it on their laptop or PC.?Furthermore, it supports the sharing of videos file sizes of up to 2GB making it easy to collaborate on projects.??Myself and several other WhatsApp users I know no longer bother with email.

But the kicker, of course, is that WhatsApp supports free voice and video calls.?This is the primary motivation as to why people use it.?For me, this is a?bonus.?When members of my WhatsApp groups identify synergies, they can instantly connect and have a meaningful one to one conversation.?And thanks to LinkedIn, they already have an accurate snapshot of that person’s skillset and interests.
Big tech sometimes gets a bad rap.?But when used intelligently, it can be a force for good.
The enormous firepower unleashed by the symbiotic relationship occasioned when using these two ubiquitous tools together cannot be overstated.
Ultimately, they help expedite the relationships that matter the most: human ones.
And at the end of the day, business boils down to two things: people and?trust.
Each of us has such a bank, it's name is time. Every morning, it credits us with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off at a loss whatever of this we fail to invest to a good purpose. It carries over no balance. We must spend it wisely.
By harnessing the combined power of these two behemoths, you will grow your network - something that us humans are hardwired to do anyway - and save a lot of time whilst so doing.?
And time, as we all know, is money.
