LinkedIn Spamming
I must be missing something. Since when did LinkedIn stop even trying to weed out all the unsolicited InMails we now receive? The Britney message only said
"Hello Handsome". So that is wrong a number of levels. What type response was this fake poster expecting?
At least LinkedIn has an "other" section for all this crap but why in the world are people even attempting this?
Here are some more recent examples:
"Need a little help... I'm the Owner and CEO of Fox Logistics, ranked 268th fastest growing company as well as rated best workplaces in the US according to INC 5000 (2022 & 2023 respectively). We help shippers in the US, Canada, and Mexico solve their toughest logistics problems with the highest levels of professionalism and customer service. We also offer a freight automation platform to help shippers simplify Truckload, LTL, Ocean & Air Shipments -- Ask me about it! Who would I want to connect with at CreditMiner about logistics opportunities?"
Not even close with what CreditMiner does. Shotgunning Inmails cannot possibly be effective.
"We have our own software, electronics and Mechanical. So we can customize as per requirements. If you have any such requirement, please let us know so we can contact you and gather requirement. Our Products. 1. Optical dimension measurement and sorting machine for Auto Parts, Fasteners, Bolt, Nut, Washer, Screw, Electrical Parts,Plastic Parts etc. 2. 2D/3D/6D Laser Engraving Machine 3. Laser Welding, Cutting and Cleaning Machine 4. Automation / SPM"
Really? I will not go on with this but I must get about 10 of these a day.

Just to be clear, these are not Connections or Followers.
I try to be careful who and what I send via InMail. It must be a connection and must be relevant. I use this sparingly.
My main strategy revolves around my posts and my newsletter. If that generates interest, and it usually does, then I have accomplished what I am after without being intrusive. I can see my post impressions to gauge my reach. Shotgunning InMails is not part of the plan and never will be.
Back to Britney. You are too young for me and I am happily married so please do not stalk me.
Until next week. Thanks for reading. Ken

1 年If you are on LinkedIn and you have connections, you will be spammed. One definition of SPAM is "unsolicited, usually, commercial messages (such as emails, text messages, or Internet postings) sent to a large number of recipients or posted in a large number of places." So if you are getting a message on LinkedIn from a company it does not mean 100's of others are getting the same message. LinkedIn is a social network just like all the other ones. It simply caters to business vs dance moves or food. If you are in marketing, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."?
