It's been a while since I am not sharing about sales because I fully focused on learning #salesnavigator
& #linkedinads
and also testing at the same time.
After being in the elite group of Sales Navigator experts, I think I have full permission to share what are the pros & cons of Sales Navigator (SN for short) and LinkedIn Ads (LInAds for short).
First of all, let me tell you which tasks I finished with the SN:
- Lead generation
- Prospecting
- Searching for representatives
- Searching for affiliates
- Track companies
- Sending InMails
- Sending connections
- Messaging
- Making lists
- Filtering and reach outs
- Networking
- LinkedIn Ads (brand awareness, carousels, posts, pictures, InMails)
- It shares what happens in your target companies or what your prospects do. On the home page, you can review what is the news.
- It makes highlights that make your job easier and suggests new accounts and leads
- You can build your Persona which makes it easier to search for leads with few clicks
- It has system-generated leads that recommend new accounts & leads
- It shows the relationship between you and the prospects that help you to find an icebreaker topic to kick off the conversation
- It shows if the messages are read, it has read recipient indicator
- There is a section in the search panel where you can filter companies by their using technologies
- Keywords in articles are an amazing feature because you can find your prospects based on their interests and what they talk about.
- It shows your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd connections. Why is it important? If you have a mutual connection with the prospect it makes a trust point so it builds a ground to approach
- With LinkedIn ads, you can reach out to specific companies and specific employees of these companies
Hmmm, now let's talk about the cons:
- When you search it sometimes gives some inappropriate results. Be careful and do not fully rely on the results. For example, just today I wanted to message regarding a topic that I found based on a search, but I checked the LinkedIn member's profile, and I couldn't find anything related to the topic that I searched.
- I ran an ad on LinkedIn based on a specific company list but after a while, I found out that the ad is shown in the feed of company members who are not on my list and it charged me for each impression.
- You cannot clear up all messages at once.
- There is no contact form for ads.
- The metasearch panel is not case or letter sensitive. For example, it gives totally different results when I search "partnership" and "partnerships". Sometimes it doesn't give any results.
- It is far more expensive than its given value. Yes, it might be useful for some companies, but it is not absolutely useful for the majority. I think most of us, just stay silent and accept that it should be like this. But it is not. CPCs are too much higher for no reason.
- LinkedIn users are getting too many messages daily and they miss real useful opportunities. We should think about this how to limit this or how to make this more worthwhile.
As a result, LinkedIn has amazing features but these are not enough and it should be updated with new features to make it more business and user-friendly. Let me know what are the pros & cons of LinkedIn and its products.
Btw, it'd be better to add special filters to messages not accepting specific topic-based messages :)
