LinkedIn Quality

Reading my news articles that come up in the new LinkedIn format (I know many do not like the new format compared to the old), I am seeing many people complain about where LinkedIn is going. People are attributing their apparent loss of features (moving to the Pro paid-for side) as a result of Microsoft's acquisition. I do not see it like this, I see it that this is a product that needs to make money & there should be less of a quality for people that do not want to upgrade to the Pro version.
I also see people here complaining about the fact that this once professional presence experience is turning in to a new Facebook with people posting multiple non-professional items like my new baby, cat or political & religious persuation articles. I have even been involved in commenting & making suggestions about how someone should be treated for defamation of character, rudeness, etc.
I was asked yesterday how to approach LinkedIn, my response was very easy - "Everyone on the site is here representing something. They are either representing the company name they say they are working for or their own name, brand & reputation. Do not post anything that will make your employer regret you representing their company (yes, they do get to see your articles & comments), or anything that will make people think twice about approaching you. Be the experience you want LinkedIn to be & the quality of the site, postings & articles will take care of themselves".
Just my simple take on this site. I, for one, am enjoying the experience.
