LinkedIn Pages vs. private profiles. 5 benefits to help u choose the right tool

LinkedIn Pages vs. private profiles. 5 benefits to help u choose the right tool

A question people approach us with quite often and my answer is:

Ideally you use both – AND it highly depends on the goals you’d like to reach.

I believe that both tools are great to nurture relationships, attract and interact with your target audience, build thought leadership, spread your message, grow your brand and to encourage people to work with you.

So, in this article, I’d like to share five core strengths of LinkedIn Pages and private profiles.

Benefits of private LinkedIn profiles

1.????According to a LinkedIn internal study, people follow people 11 times likelier than a page. No surprise here because people do business with people. And companies in the end are nothing else but an organization of – guess what – a lot of people. ;-) So, yeah. That’s a big one.

2.????You can also build a highly relevant network of up to 30,000 connections, which you can literally hand-pick using LinkedIn’s filters, which is amazing. As a LinkedIn company page, you can only invite people who already are part of our private network to follow your page.

3.????Creator mode for me was the best LinkedIn invention since they welcomed videos in 2017. When you turn on creator mode, you can add up to 5 hashtags, which show people what you’re talking about, add a 30 second welcome video and it gives you the opportunity to publish LinkedIn Newsletters. Three big benefits you don’t have on LinkedIn pages.

4.????Did you ever reflect on the fact that direct messaging is only available on private profiles? Well, now you do. Hehe. If you use DM-ing strategies to get people from LinkedIn into your funnel, then this is only possible when you use your private profile.

5.????Recommendations can only be shared on private profiles. An incredible element when you think in patterns of public relations, credibility and authority status building. I definitely do not want to miss that feature, as many of our current clients state that they’ve read through quite a few testimonials before the signed up working with us.

Benefits of LinkedIn Pages?

1.????If you want to place LinkedIn ads (one day) LinkedIn company pages are your friend. Placing ads is only possible here. I know that LinkedIn ads still sometimes face an image issue. But guess what? They are not as limited or boring as they used to be.

2.????The analytics you’ll get from pages are incredibly insightful. Want to know which posts performed well? How many new followers you have? How all of this developed over the last months? How well you do in comparison to your competition? Yes, you have access to all of that data – for free!?

3.????Content is also much easier to access on company pages. No need to scroll down to Activity, click on “see all activity”, wait until a new window opens, then click on “posts”. Your content is right there. Everyone can find and consume it within a few seconds.?

4.????One of my fave features is that you can invite admins. Yes, your team can manage the page, invite people to follow it, publish content, build an online community and engage with your posts and so much more. My team does an incredible job here. Thanks, Team Think Natalia.

5.????So, you have a huge diverse network all across the globe? Maybe you even offer services in different languages? Then you’ll love to learn that you can target specific audiences on LinkedIn pages. You can choose who will see post XY and who’s going to be shown post YZ. Brilliant, isn’t it?

That’s it for today. I hope this helped.

Now over to you:

Do you use both your company page and your individual page? Or do you focus on one of them?

I look forward to hearing from you.

I loved the article Dr. Natalia Wiechowski, I believe the business profile would be more effective if managed properly and when having a business brand more than a personal brand. I would stick to the personal profile this while, my brand is me these days ??
