LinkedIn Newsletter: Should You Have One?

LinkedIn Newsletter: Should You Have One?

Drumroll, please!

Let's talk about leadership and the rhythm of success. We all know the beat of a good leader – it’s a steady pulse of inspiration, innovation, and influence. But what's the secret instrument in a leader's toolkit? You guessed it: reading. Research shows that a whopping 42% of high-level decision-makers are avid readers. So, how do you tap into this audience and create a powerful, enduring rhythm of your own? Let’s explore how you can use LinkedIn’s newsletter feature to build a steady beat of credibility and influence.

  1. Leaders are Readers is a true statement... 42% of high-level decision makers read articles. When you create your newsletter like an article (gives valuable content) and not a newsletter (traditional: all about the company), you can attract decision makers, build credibility, and establish influence.
  2. It has a permanent position on your profile. As high-quality prospects are checking you out on LinkedIn, they have access to your body of work. This is the high-quality information you are sharing. When you publish newsletters, they go right on your profile under the newsletter button, so they don't get lost in time like regular posts (but, they also go out as a regular post when you first publish them).
  3. Each newsletter gets its own URL - this means each newsletter is found on Google. More Google coverage for you means you increase your digital footprint and expand your reach.
  4. You can see who has subscribed. While you can’t download the subscribers, you can see who they are and grow your network of high-quality connections by inviting your subscribers to connect with you.?This is an excellent way to stay in front of your raving fans.

Make sure you set up your LinkedIn Newsletter with a lead magnet so they get on YOUR email list, and you can remarket to them. In addition, you want to add an about the author section in case they come directly from Google.... this way they'll get to know a little about you and can decide if they want to follow or connect with you!

By publishing newsletters on LinkedIn, you’re not just hitting a single note; you’re drumming up opportunities to grow your fanbase. You’re building a lasting presence, expanding your digital footprint, and growing your network. It’s time to seize the spotlight and let your expertise shine.

What happens after those fans read your newsletter? They want more… and that’s when they visit your LinkedIn profile to get more information about you. Is your LinkedIn profile a marketing machine? I'm finally in a monthly rhythm with mine and so glad you taught me HOW to do this in the last course I took with you! I then repurpose it as blog on my website.
