LinkedIn Newsletter launch

2020 has changed lives and livelihoods beyond recognition, and I’ve been inundated with questions on social media about how I think the current circumstances will change the world of business in the years to come. I felt that the best way to tackle these is via my new newsletter. I’m excited to launch this fresh feature at a time where keeping the lines of communication as clear as possible is more crucial than ever.
In this regular feature, I’ll be collating my most frequently asked questions into one place. I’ll aim to cover everything from company ownership to recruitment. I’ll also offer an insight into life as an entrepreneur, drawing on my 30 years of experience in business to help you make quality decisions in the tough environment that has been handed to us all at present.
I want to be a source of optimism at a time where the media focus has been generally negative. Even in economic terms, something like this has never happened before, but mentorship and drawing on those with experience can help you weather the storm. You need to prepare yourself for a new normal, a normal where you’ll be reliant on technology even more than you used to be, a normal where you may spend just as much time working in your living room as your company’s office.
Before the pandemic, the office was the place we spent a third of our life - this is inconceivable in the coming months. Every aspect of our environment looks set for some fundamental changes, starting with the workplace. Who is to say this is a bad thing? You’ll need to embrace change, and this newsletter will aspire to help.
My newsletter will attempt to help you work smarter, not harder during these seismic changes. I’m excited to draw on my knowledge of previous crises to help inform your decisions moving forward. My first feature will offer advice to those of you young enough to be graduating in 2020. Until then, keep your head up and remember: the first factor of investment is yourself.

5 个月This is a fantastic initiative, James 2020 has certainly thrown businesses into uncharted territory, and it’s clear we’re going to see long-term shifts in how we work, lead, and grow companies. I love the idea of a newsletter dedicated to answering these pressing questions especially from someone with your level of experience. One trend I think we’ll see more of is the shift to flexible working models. Remote work has proven to be more efficient for many industries, and it’ll be interesting to see how businesses adapt to a hybrid future. Also, I’m curious to hear your thoughts on how leaders can keep their teams motivated in these uncertain times. Looking forward to reading your insights and contributing to the conversation #BusinessGrowth #Leadership #FutureOfWork
