Fully online Missouri State University program expands experiential learning with Simucase

Missouri State University’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program offers an advanced generalist practice framework, which prepares students for a variety of roles in the field. As a 100% online program, they’re always seeking ways to grow students’ clinical skills and apply what they’re learning in courses to various clients and settings.

The program, which already uses role-play, incorporated Simucase into a course to see if it enhanced and expanded students’ experiential learning. After seeing the benefits of Simucase for her students, MSW Program Coordinator Michele Brown, PhD, MSW, LMSW, hopes to incorporate it into more social work courses in the future.

Save the Date: Simucase SIMposium 2024

The inaugural Simucase SIMposium, a free virtual event, was a great success and the Simucase team is already working to make the second annual SIMposium even better! The 2024 SIMposium will take place on Friday, Sept. 20.

This year's free virtual event is titled Simucase SIMposium 2024: Fostering Excellence - Developing Core Competencies Through Simulation. It’s designed for faculty from audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, and speech-language pathology programs. The SIMposium is an opportunity to expand your knowledge of simulation-based learning, to hear about how others use Simucase, and to network with your peers.
