LinkedIn News -- and The Road Ahead
One of our top goals at LinkedIn is to help professionals stay informed — for them to always be on top of their world and to share their own unique perspectives on where it’s going. That, in fact, is the day-in, day-out mission of the LinkedIn News team: to give the professionals the news and views they need to talk about the things that matter.
In recent months, it’s become clear that everyone’s sense of “the things that matter” has widened greatly. The conversations happening every day among LinkedIn ’s 690 million members are a constant testament to the ways that the world of work -- and the extraordinary headlines of 2020 -- are fusing together.?
With that in mind, LinkedIn News is adding a new, dedicated section called “The Road Ahead.” This special edition of the U.S. Daily Rundown will explore the forces buffeting American business in 2020: the realization by many companies that they must play a role in righting the wrongs of racism in all its forms, the struggle to reopen workplaces in the face of a?pandemic without end, the hardships of finding jobs when so many companies are cutting workers and rethinking roles.?

The Road Ahead will be updated multiple times a day but won’t be limited to news headlines. It also will explore ways that businesses, leaders, frontline workers and more are charting a course toward meaningful, effective change in response. We’ve already seen a great deal of positive energy in the LinkedIn community as members share actions, ideas and personal reflections on the headline topics of 2020. We see The Road Ahead as a place where civil, constructive conversations can thrive -- and where valuable steps forward can occur.
If you’re a desktop LinkedIn user, you’ll be able to find The Road Ahead via a small banner at the bottom of the LinkedIn News headline digest at the upper right of your home page. The banner provides a link to further coverage. If you’re a mobile user, you can find The Road ahead via this link.?
Each day, The Road Ahead will highlight the voices of a diverse set of leaders and experts from a range of industries and disciplines. We will do so with one central question in mind: How can today’s crises help us build a better working world??
