Receiving an unexpected call or email from a recruiter can be both exciting and nerve-wracking, especially if you aren't actively job-seeking at the time. You immediately wonder, what do they want and should I reply or not.
First thing is to check out their linkedIn profile, see if their recruiting and expertise matches your career pocket. If it does, then it's smart to reconnect and see what they have to offer and most importantly develop a new future recruiting contact.
