Happy Hump Day Folks,
March has flown in and there are been lots of exciting NEW updates.
Stick the kettle on, grab a cuppa and let's go!
March 2022
LinkedIn Marketing Partner Community
LinkedIn has launched a?new group ?which will share industry knowledge, information about LinkedIn updates and insights from LinkedIn. The aim of the group is to help marketers improve how they use LinkedIn for marketing.
Post Analytics
New analytics are rolling out to show who is reading your posts. You can filter by job title, industry, location and more.
Podcasts
Are you aware of LinkedIn's Podcast network ?
The network will offer podcasts from leading and emerging creators including new podcasts from the LinkedIn News team and shows from industry leaders. The LinkedIn Podcast Network takes it from broadcast to community, where a conversation follows the episode.?
The?#HelloMonday ?podcast has been around for job seekers for quite a while and has over 4 million downloads.
I look forward to hearing the ones they create for business owners as the focus seems to be primarily job search. Did you know that you can add your podcasts to it?
Career Break
LinkedIn is rolling out a new section on your profile called 'Career Break'. If you go to the 'add section' button at the top of your profile you should see the option under the core drop down beneath position.
This is a great addition which can be used to explain redundancy, maternity leave, bereavement, extended sick leave etc. The purpose is to remove the stigma of a break as let's face it life happens to us all and I've personally experienced redundancy and extended sick leave.
My top tip is to add any continued personal development done during this time. This shows that you made the most of the time. LinkedIn learning courses are a good place to start.
Will you be using this new feature and how??
Profile Video
The cover story video has now been replaced with 'profile video'.
This is a 30 second video that sits behind your profile headshot photo. The top changes are:
Annoyingly it's one of those features that you can only see when you have it yourself and it's rolled out in beta ad hoc. It will magically appear one day on your LinkedIn phone app.
Service Page
You can now link your service page to your company's LinkedIn page.
Anything that helps with more business awareness in my mind is a good thing yet strangely enough a lot of business owners don't invest in:
1) a company page
2) a service page...
Is it lack of time, interest or knowledge?
On a frustrating note I'm stuck on 19 reviews on my services page.
The quota when you first sign up is 20 and apparently when you get to 20 you get an additional credit top up. One of my fab clients gave me my first review a few months ago and noticed a typo and deleted it in order to write it again but several months after flagging it to the LinkedIn help desk I'm still stuck and they haven't credited me.
A word from LinkedIn...(my top tip is don't delete any off!)

LinkedIn Audio Events
I attended my first LinkedIn audio event a few weeks back and it's so similar to Clubhouse.
You can see myself in the line-up below with all the attendees and the option to leave, raise your hand, invite someone or react (emojis for like, love, laughing or clapping).
This feature is still in beta roll-out and I look forward to getting it as an introvert and hope that it can be applied to groups as I would REALLY love to host some for my community of female entrepreneurs.
Newsletters on Company Pages
Newsletters from company pages are good to go!
Similar to personal newsletters, subscribers get a notification every time you post to your newsletter. LinkedIn also sends a one-time notification to all of your Page followers when you start your newsletter, helping your content gain immediate traction.?
Will you consider running one from your page?

I'm all about organic reach folks (it's still A-MAZ-ING on LinkedIn) so I won't ever inform you about paid features.
I would love to hear about your experience with new features / updates in the comments ??
?? Remember leaving a comment is like leaving a virtual business card - people get to see your headshot and headline so it's always a great way to get visibility. Win / win!

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?”
