LinkedIn Has Now Done Something Incomprehensible (Again)
When I wanted to update my profile with my new (and latest) work examples, each time I did so, they "disappeared". After nearly an hour of trying, I found that the latest work examples had not disappeared, but been added to the very end of my list! So that no-one can see my latest work when looking at my profile! Gives a whole new meaning to the Biblical quotation, "The first shall be last, and the last will be first!"
I have been a user of Linkedin for more than 12 years, and I used to be able to re-arrange my work examples, but found that LinkedIn no longer gives me (or anyone) that choice and ability anymore! And now they arbitrarily decide to drop all new updates to the bottom!
Why is LinkedIn doing this? I want people to be able to see my new work examples at the top of the list, not at the bottom! This is absolutely crazy, and makes LinkedIn almost useless! Why is this happening? And when will LinkedIn allow us to post our latest examples of our work at the front/top of the list?
It seems all these useless changes have occurred after Microsoft took over.

7 年Ad funded or supported SasS as its implemented today is a problem for usability and CSAT. LinkedIn is fundamentally challenge by this . This is not NASCAR

7 年The only explanation I can think of is to force more consideration of ads or prioritize Ad placement. Unfortunately when UX compromises are made to bolster profit and not CSAT you have gone off rails. Also. Microsoft brand is productivity and Ad integration is opposite to that. Ad funded and privacy and productivity are not compatible. Not sure how to resolve that. Already Google had to kill gmail indexing to appeal to business privacy concerns.
I hear your difficulties Kevin, I think most connections have experienced this in some shape or form... Keep trying love seeing your latest pictures...

7 年--- When you run into this issue Kevin Geary you need to try different browsers. I have found that if something doesn't work in Chrome, then it usually does in IE...oh, and the mobile app (if you use it) will mess up a lot of things if you try to make modifications to your profile. Anyway, there are features in Chrome that allow you to adjust the order of items that doesn't work in the other browsers. Anyway, as Andy Hawkins said: "Absolutely the worst SPA implementation I've seen..!" And, what is worse, it doesn't seem that Jeff Weiner really cares that his platform UI sucks so badly---and you know why: Because the Ad's & Sales are bringing in more dollars than they [LI Team] ever made before.
