LinkedIn Christmas Tips ????

LinkedIn Christmas Tips ????

Ho ho ho, LinkedIn friends! ??

'Tis the season of giving on LinkedIn, so I'm stuffing your stockings with a sackful of festive Linkedin tips & tricks.

Let's start off jolly with some hot-off-the-press new stuff:

Tip 1

Certain LinkedIn Company Pages now have an inbox!

You will see a new 'Message' button on Company Pages that have been rolled out this new feature!

Want to make images like you're seeing in this newsletter? ??

Tip 2

Most people with a gold Premium badge on their LinkedIn profile will have enabled the 'Open Profile' feature.

Look for the Linkedin Gold badge in order to connect and contact with new people for no credits

This means any non-connection can message them for f-f-f-free! ??

??????

For non Premium LinkedIn members it looks like there is soon going to be a limit of 10 connection requests (with an additional note attached) limit per month, so this approach could be huge for people in the not-to-distant future who only use the free version of LinkedIn, so get in there now before the gold badge train sets off at full steam, because everyone will be doing soon!

Don't miss the train!

Tip 3

LinkedIn native scheduling update - good tidings!

You can now finally schedule LinkedIn polls and posts with multiple images via the clock symbol in the post composer.

This Christmas miracle works on personal profiles and company pages.

The "schedule for later" feature inside the post composer is finally useful!
You can finally plant your posts inside of Linkedin scheduler and grow them later!

Tip 4

Now I know I've been beating the drum of SmartLinks for a while...

...but that's because they let you wrap up content in a neat little shareable package with a big bow on top. ??

Here's an example of one we built:

?????? ?????? ?????? ?????? ?????????

  • In 1-on-1 communication via LinkedIn message to connections
  • Via LinkedIn InMails to 2nd and 3rd degree connections

Interesting 1-to-1 delivered SmartLinks are a great ice-breaker and potential "virtual coffee" creator!

On your profile in your featured section:

Via your profile link (if you have enabled this):

The 'Visit My Website' button can be pointed towards any literature you want!

With the new profile link on premium this link also shows in your posts!

Every post you make now includes a quick link to wherever you want to direct traffic

There are also many 1-to-many communications aka in your email signature, in your newsletter or anywhere else you do 1-to-many comms.

The important thing is that everyone who clicks becomes instantly visible to you!

LinkedIn automates an email to you as soon as anyone clicks your link!

And LinkedIn also give you a breakdown of how long the read for too!

See how seriously they took your PDF by monitoring read times on individual slides!

Bonus Tip

LinkedIn now has 985 million members, as announced recently in Microsoft's Fiscal Year 2024 Q1 results. Almost a billion people! ??

LinkedIn is almost 3x the size of the population of the USA, think how many major cities that would be!

LinkedIn Sales Navigator list building tools will soon have AI built into them in order for you to filter through the noise and efficiently find ideal buyer personas you want to talk to, but it's always best to send them something valuable first (before trying to sell them anything at all), therefore I suggest combining SmartLinks with Sales Navigator in order to get the best possible results.

Cold DM'ing a prospect with a sales pitch will have you skating on thin ice!

Instead, host an informative SmartLink & send it to your prospect and track if the prospect clicked the link and if they potentially found it of enough valuable to share it with others! This is entirely possible with SmartLinks, so give it a go!

Good look with your prospect scouting and message me if you need help!

Thrilled to hear about your newsletter's new milestone - getting company inboxes is a game-changer! ?? As Benjamin Franklin once said, “Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.” Your dedication to growth on LinkedIn is inspiring! Keep up the amazing work. ??? #Progress #Innovate #Inspiration
